As an independent Registered Investment Adviser, we provide investment management services, while our clients maintain their assets in accounts at separate, third-party custodians. Thus, members of our firm do not have access to clients' funds, except in a limited way specifically to deduct our advisory fees, execute trades for clients who have granted us discretionary authority, and to initiate transfers solely to a client's address of record or previously-authorized bank account.
Clients may be responsible for transaction fees from the custodian, although we strive to keep these costs to a minimum. Our firm receives no compensation from these transaction costs, or any other compensation from the custodians except for certain services, such as access to research, educational materials, webcasts and conferences. These potential benefits are disclosed in the firm's Form ADV Part 2A.
